Developed in cooperation with Graz University of Technology, the solution combines the natural refrigerants CO₂ (R744) and propane (R290) and has been specifically designed to further improve the efficiency of CO₂ systems, even under demanding operating conditions. At the heart of the system is a modular subcooler that has been optimally tailored to transcritical CO₂ rack systems.
A key innovation is the low propane charge of less than 150 grams per circuit. As a result, the system requires no special installation conditions and can be integrated easily as a plug-and-play solution. Delivered pre-charged and pre-configured, ecoFusion is ready for operation quickly and is suitable for both new installations and retrofitting existing systems. Thanks to its modular design, ecoFusion can be flexibly adapted to different capacity requirements. Available in 12 kW and 24 kW sizes, the units can be combined as needed, providing excellent scalability while maintaining a compact footprint.
At Chillventa, we want to demonstrate how innovative refrigeration technology can contribute to greater energy efficiency. ecoFusion enables stable and economical operation of transcritical CO₂ systems even at ambient temperatures of 45°C and above, while significantly reducing the energy consumption of the entire refrigeration system.
With ecoFusion, HAUSER underlines its commitment to developing innovative and sustainable solutions for the challenges of modern refrigeration technology and to breaking new ground together with strong partners.
There is even more to discover at our shared Chillventa booth with Epta beyond ecoFusion: Alongside other sustainable refrigeration solutions, modern CO₂ transcritical packs for a wide range of applications will also be on display. Find out more on Epta's Costan product page.
